Meet GRL POWER!
Melissa Virdo was born and raised in Toronto and has had her hands in the arts ever since she could walk and talk. As an accomplished singer and dancer she has had a very colorful career.
Melissa is the Head Choreographer for Continental Entertainment, an entertainment company that offers various tribute acts. She has performed in many tribute acts and has toured all over the world performing, the most memorable show being in Goa, India. She also has had a successful 5 year run fronting her own Top 40 band the Melissa V Band.
She is thrilled to be doing GRL Power as she is and always has been a hard core Spice Girl fan and loves preforming with these five special ladies, especially with her real live bestie Mikaela! As they say “friendship never ends”!!
Mikaela is our ‘Tru Brit’! Born in Bristol, England she now calls Canada her home away from home. Still British to the core Mikaela is a die hard Coronation Street fan and loves her cups of tea and biscuits.
A graduate of Ryerson Theatre School she enjoys everything performance from behind the scene to being on stage.
Mikaela is thrilled to be on stage with the girls, and especially thrilled to be on stage with her bestie Melissa aka ‘Baby Spice’. Fondest moment singing ‘Mama’ to their mums on the phone at the Spice Girl farewell concert front row in Toronto! When she’s not on stage or otherwise engaged Mikaela enjoys volunteering at a nursing home with her Therapy dog ‘Cairo’.

Daniella Fortino from a young age had a passion for the arts. She began dancing as a child and found her real passion for singing and performing in high school where she was an active member of the Musical Theatre community.
Outside of the arts Daniella is a Queens University Graduate who completed Bachelor of Arts Honours degree and a Postgraduate Marking degree from Humber College’s School of Business. Daniella is a very excited to be apart of GRL power as the Spice Girls are one of her favourite groups of all time!
Shannon has been singing and writing music for the past 30 years. She has been involved with original projects and recordings, as well as several working top 40 classic rock bands traveling all across the country.
Shannon had played Sporty previously years ago in the tribute band “Spice Power”, and is thrilled to be characterizing her once again with her powerful voice and overflowing energy.
Dania is a graduate of the Musical Theatre Program at Sheridan College and an accomplished vocalist – studying classical vocal through the Royal Conservatory of Music where she achieved honors. She now shares that experience helping other young singers through private vocal lessons and performance coaching.
Dania has performed on stage in various productions including theatre, festival and club venues. Some theatre highlights include The Sound of Music, Gypsy, The King and I and A Little Night Music.
Tribute highlights include roles as Faith Hill and Shania Twain as well as appearances in both an Elvis show and a Blues Brothers production. Dania has performed coast to coast across North America and is happy to be recreating her role as Ginger in GRL PWR.
